In a move that redefines the future of fashion, Meta is proud to announce the launch of the first-ever AI-powered fashion collection, in collaboration with Nigerian fashion brand I.N. Official, at Africa Fashion Week London on Saturday, August 9th.
The Fall/Winter 2025 collection, titled “Transcendence,” showcases how Meta AI’s creative technologies can revolutionize every stage of fashion design, from concept development and fabric selection to visual storytelling and presentation.
At the heart of this innovation is Nigerian designer Ifeanyi Nwune, Creative Director of I.N. Official, who harnessed Meta AI to bring a bold new vision to life, blending cultural heritage with cutting-edge digital creativity.
Nwune said: “With Meta AI, we are transcending into an African future fueled by unity, creativity, and technology.”
Meta AI, the world’s most accessible AI assistant, available in everyday apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger, played a central role in the development of Transcendence. From generating mood boards and sketches with the Imagine feature to using AI Search for styling ideas and accessories, the technology provided instant inspiration and practical solutions throughout the creative process.
One striking example includes an AI-generated image of a futuristic silhouette that fuses traditional African Agbada with classic Japanese Hakama, inspiring a key look in the collection.
Public Policy Director for Sub-Saharan Africa at Meta, Balkissa Idé Siddo, said: “We are excited to see how Meta AI is powering bold new expressions of African fashion on a global stage.
“This collection is a testament to how Meta AI isn’t just a tool, it’s a co-creator, helping designers across Africa and beyond dream bigger, design smarter, and bring ideas to life faster.”
The collaboration underscores Meta’s commitment to equipping African creatives with innovative, accessible tools to tell their stories, amplify their culture, and reach global audiences.
